It's that time of the year once again and I'm lucky to be having it with the kids. It's my Birthday!! Woohoo!!!
Happy birthday to me!! :)
I started this blog as an alternative to talking to my mom who died so suddenly. It has evolved since then as an online journal for my family's adventures and misadventures - our travels, our dining out, our entertainment and so much more! Feel free to leave your reactions :)

Though we do celebrate birthdays, we don't always go overboard. We just eat good food or maybe at the most, go out of town. With this pandemic, we have been on lockdown for a year and the kids are basically prisoners at home, it's imperative that we have some sort of birthday celebration just to keep their spirits up. So, here we have Dylan's Jurassic Park cake from Sofia's Custom Cakes. 2020 October to November
Highlights of this post include:- Start of Dylan's Online Classes
- My Birthday
- Dana's 1Q Online Exams
These may seem trivial but in this new world where Covid-19 rules, these are all milestones of the New Normal. This is how we cope with being indoors and managing to stay sane despite it

Here we are at Samgyeop Masarap in SM San Lazaro to partake of their delicious all-you-can-eat samgyeopsal (samgyupsal) or Korean grilled pork belly.
Needless to say, our own bellies were full at the end of the meal :)
You know how they say that your children's teachers are their 2nd parents? It's true in Dylan's case.
Today was my Dad's 70th birthday celebration. A milestone event if there ever was one because this party brought our family together again, after a long, long time of being separated. If only Allan were here, we'd have been complete.
Happy 3rd Birthday Sole!! It was a pleasure to be part of your birthday celebration! I hope you had so much fun as we did and I hope you treasure all these moments growing up :)
Today, we celebrated Dana's birthday after finishing up with Dylan's doctor's check-up. When asked what she wanted to do for her birthday, there was no hesitation when she responded, "Sambokojin!". I guess, she enjoyed herself so much the last time we were there she wanted to experience it again. So, we all went back, together with Den and Edwin!
After 2 hours and a half of walking around and visiting 5 different attractions at the Manila Ocean Park, and after a 30 minute break, we headed to the All-Star Bird Show around 4:00
So, the first attraction that we visited was the Oceanarium. The Oceanarium is one of the world's best public aquariums with over 14,000 marine creatures from the Philippines and South East Asia. It has several sections, including its main attraction - a 25 meter long, 220° curved walkway tunnel - where you can see marine creatures all around you (left, right and above) as you traverse the tunnel.![]() |

Today marks the end of Dana's elementary school life. I can't believe that time has flown so quickly that Dana is now finished with elementary and will now be embarking on her High School journey. Still, this is a milestone in our family's life and we're just so proud of her for making it this far. Congratulations Dana! :)![]() |
