Celebrating the Kids' Birthdays with Sofia's Custom Cakes

2021 March

Though we do celebrate birthdays, we don't always go overboard. We just eat good food or maybe at the most, go out of town. With this pandemic, we have been on lockdown for a year and the kids are basically prisoners at home, it's imperative that we have some sort of birthday celebration just to keep their spirits up. So, here we have Dylan's Jurassic Park cake from Sofia's Custom Cakes

Dana's Kaeya of Genshin Impact cake

Dana's cake was also created by Sofia's Custom Cakes. This business is actually owned by my cousin Cathy and we know that the cakes, aside from being aesthetically pleasing, are downright delicious. Both the kids' cakes are moist chocolate cakes by the way. They're equally yummy! Also in the interest of disclosure, I paid for these cakes and this isn't a sponsored post :) I do wish you can order from her because you won't be disappointed :)

I'm lucky because my kids are easy to please. Lunch of samgyupsal is enough for Dana's birthday. After that, it's just a regular day for us haha

Despite a simple celebration, we're all happy being together. We're all thankful that we have just enough to celebrate. We're all grateful that we're coping well with Patrick's death.

For Dylan's birthday, we were surprised by a Shakey's delivery for him.  Bito and the kids sent us these pizzas,  chicken and mojos and coke! Shakey's is actually one of Dylan's favorite foods. We are so thankful for this treat! We didn't expect it and that's why it feels so special. Thank you! Thank you!

So, since we had this Shakey's treat for lunch, Dylan's real birthday treat was relegated to dinner haha Of course, he asked for shrimps and crabs and that's what he got. Actually, he ended up eating most of the crabs haha Dana and I only had a couple probably because we just didn't have the patience to eat the crabs haha

So, as you can see, we're all pretty happy with our birthday celebrations.

Here's Dylan's Jurassic Park cake, again from Sofia's Custom Cakes. Thanks Tita Cathy!
