Celebrating Dylan's birthday in school

18 March 2019

You know how they say that your children's teachers are their 2nd parents?  It's true in Dylan's case.

They prepared these decorations for him despite the hectic schedule that everyone was in because the school decided to advance their Recognition Day and there was hardly any time for detailed preparations.

So, Dylan, Happy Birthday and you're so lucky to have Teachers like T. Ressie, T. Joyce and T. Sitti who have taken care of you this year :)

As I said, we hardly had any time to prepare anything for Dylan's birthday in school.  The week before, we were surprised to learn that their last day would be the 19th, and it was going to be their Recognition Day.  Dylan's birthday was on the 18th so Patrick and I could only just settle for a delivery of food from Ambers to party with his classmates.

Actually, it wasn't even much of a celebration because they were only able to just hurriedly eat the food because they were on a break from their Recognition Day ceremony rehearsals.  I'm just glad that they enjoyed the food and Dylan was happy that they were happy  :)

When his birthday was getting closer and closer, Dylan mentioned that he wanted a special cake.  Patrick acquiesced to his request by buying him this Spider-Man themed cake from Goldilocks.  But the funny thing was Dylan didn't even want to try it!  He just wanted to blow the candle!!! LOL

Had we known that we would have bought a smaller cake hahahaha  And because the cake was huge, we had to give away most of it to our neighbors LOL

We should have just brought the cake to the school :)

Happy birthday Dylan! :)
