A Day in the Life: Double Cause for Celebration: Big Bad Wolf in Manila and Dana's Birthday

One of the biggest book events that we always look forward to is the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale. If you haven't heard of it, it's a week-long event that's open for 24 hours with tons of books on sale. This year, it was held between Feb 22 and march 4 and we went twice :)

Also, the 2nd day that we went coincided with Dana's birthday and this was where she wanted to spend it so Hurrah for books! :)

Actually, it was just Patrick and the kids who went to Big Bad Wolf on their first visit, which I think was on the 25th. I was feeling under the weather and I knew I couldn't hack it if I have to walk for miles in search of books hehe

So, they went at 11PM thinking that there wouldn't be as many people compared to daytime hours. They were totally wrong! The place was packed with like-minded people hahaha That didn't stop them though, they still had a good time scouring the aisles for their books.

The problem happened when they were about to pay for their books. Apparently, they had problems with their payment system or something so Patrick and the kids were in line for 3 hours! But the kids were troopers and didn't complain much. Dylan felt sleepy and he was just sitting on some crates. One of the staff came over and asked if Dylan was okay and if he needed anything so that was appreciated. When they finally came home, they all went straight to bed!

The next time, we went in the afternoon. We figured we might as well see the difference if we come when there's still light haha

The place was still packed but the aisles were maneuverable. But Patrick said that there were more books in the Treasure Island sections. The Treasure Island sections contain marked down books, all at P90 per book :)

There were the usual aisles - Fiction, Children's, Self-Help, Cooking, Transportation, Film, etc and there were also Packaged items like the Disney Bundle and other sets.

Because of their previous experience, we were all apprehensive when we approached the Payment area but there was no need to worry. There were hardly any lines so we didn't even have to wait to get to a counter for payment.

This year, they added a Food Court which was also open 24/7 for those who plan on staying a while to wait for their book sets and new titles to be unloaded :)

As usual, we ended up with all smiles after being around books for hours :)

As it was Dana's birthday too, we went to Chili's for some scrumptious dinner. We were all famished after walking around for hours at the Big Bad Wolf book sale :)
