Dylan's Year-End Party in School

10 December 2019

Today was Dylan's Year-End Party. At first, we weren't sure if we were able to attend because we had to think about Patrick's state at home. But, for the same reason that we made time for Dana, we also needed to make time for Dylan.

So, we headed to his school for their Year-End party.  Dylan had fun!  There were fun games, delicious food and amazing prizes.  :)

It was worth making time for him and see him socializing and enjoying himself with his classmates :)

At first, he was hesitant to enter the classroom.  Because of Patrick being in the hospital, Dylan stayed with us and was therefore absent from school.  But, just to be clear, even while in the hospital he was working on his own activities for school so he won't regress.  He gets shy when he's not able to see anyone for a long time.  But he was able to acclimate in a few minutes :)  As you can see, he's happy being with his classmates again :)

Of course, I had to take a couple of pictures with Dylan for posterity haha

More of his classmates arrived.  Then the all the fun activities followed.  I wasn't able to take pictures because parents were also participating in the games haha  Trust me, there was plenty of laughter, excitement and over-all good vibes during the day.

Once the festivities were over and everyone was able to enjoy a hearty meal courtesy of Mark's guardians, because as it turned out it was also Mark's birthday celebration today, everyone went home.  Dylan was extremely pleased with his haul of prizes and gifts.

Merry Christmas everyone and thanks to Teacher Jenny and co-parents for such a wonderful day! :)
