On this day, we celebrated  UST High School Batch 89's 30th Anniversary. It was held at the Dr. Robert C. Sy Grand Ballroom, Thomasian Alumni Center, UST.

It was actually the first ever reunion that I ever attended and I truly had a great time.  Congratulations and Thanks to our organizers for a job well done! :)

Honestly, reunions and any sort of gathering make me nervous.  I only have a small circle of friends and most of them are out of the country so I'm always worried about reuniting with old friends and meeting and talking with new acquaintances.  I even sent messages to people I'm comfortable with asking them if they were attending the reunion.  Fortunately, they were gonna be there and I was a little relieved. :)

Cathy and I met earlier so that both of us wouldn't have to be nervous about coming to the gathering by ourselves.  It was our first time coming to this new building since we graduated so we were also excited.

We met some of our friends from both High School and College on the way in and the evening was getting interesting :)

There were a lot of selfies and group-fies going on most of the night.  We were busy catching up on each other's lives, reminiscing about our High School days and filling our tummies with wine, cheese and an assortment of meats during cocktail hour :)

Of course, we just couldn't sit at our table.  We had to mingle and so more photos taken :)  See our beaming smiles? :)

Hours flew by unnoticed and suddenly it was time for dinner.  There was a buffet and everything was truly delicious!  There were buttered vegetables, roast beef, chicken teriyaki, grilled gindara, spaghetti, salad and desserts.  The drinks were continuously flowing so everyone was in high spirits too haha  We all watched video greetings of our batchmates from across the world who couldn't make it this time.  It was pretty nostalgic :)

After dinner, there were some games to spice things up and then the band started playing their music and everyone just got up on the dance floor :)

Sadly, Cathy left a bit early, around 9PM so I was left with these lovely guys during the evening hahaha

The rest of the evening was spent taking pictures per class to commemorate the occasion.  It was hard to let go and say goodbye to everyone when the event ended.

We were looking for an open Starbucks to prolong the evening but we all ended up having coffee at the 5th floor of the building where the others were checked-in for the evening.  It was the hotel that is operated for their Tourism and HRM students.  This was the birth of the "Maintenance Club" because we all ended up discussing maintenance meds hahahaha

It was a memorable evening for sure and I was glad that I overcame my fear and anxiety by just jumping in and making the most of it.  :)
