A rainy day with the kids at Wright Park in Baguio City

26 September 2016

Visiting The Mansion in Baguio City is a fast process.  You go there, take your pictures and leave.  At least, that's what we did since it's not possible to get any closer than just inside the gate.  So, we crossed the street and headed to Wright Park.  This was the first time we've gone to Wright Park from this direction so it was an adventure of sorts :)

In my previous post, I mentioned that Patrick parked the car near the Wright Park Riding Circle.  At that time, we didn't know that we could actually drive the car through Wright Park from The Mansion.  It was only as we were walking along the "Pool of Pines", a long, rectangular shallow pool of water, that we saw a car driving on the lane heading out to the Mansion.  It was like an epiphany right there haha

Anyway, we were glad that we passed this way because it was just so tranquil and peaceful.  We were surrounded by pine trees as we walked beside a pool with fish, I think it was carp :)  We wanted to take pictures but rain started falling and we just rushed until we reached this area.  This time, they couldn't resist posing haha

From here, there were stairs leading down to a stretch of avenue lined with beautiful, landscaped gardens.  A little further on, is a designated parking spot.  From this vantage point, we could see glimpses of the Wright Park Riding Circle and some souvenir shops.

This is the part you'll reach if you climb the steps from the Wright Park Riding Circle. Patrick actually had to go down those steps to get the car when it started raining really hard.  We stopped at the restrooms there and we waited for him to bring the car up.

We didn't really plan on riding any horses at this point.  We knew the weather would not be permitting.

After this, we headed back to the hotel to rest and get out of the rain.
