Travel: The Clubhouse @ SM Wind Residences PLUS JT"s Manukan and Bulalo Point Turo-Turo Grill

20-22 May 2019

Last April, we were in Tagaytay but weren't able to visit The Clubhouse at the SM Wind Residences because we became too exhausted from the Aqua Park at Club Balai Isabel

This time, we practically spent the whole day at The Clubhouse aside from going out to lunch at the nearby McDonald's and having dinner at Bulalo Point Turo-Turo Grill.

Check out our photos around the clubhouse, including the restaurants we ate at in Tagaytay. :)

For this trip, we booked again thru Airbnb at the same unit we stayed at last month.  We had a bit of problem with the wifi but it was resolved the next day.

For dinner, we ate at JT's Manukan Grille along Tagaytay-Calamba road near the Rotonda.

We arrived a bit early so we had the place to ourselves.

We were served our favorite Inasal Chicken, Kansi broth and Garlic Rice.  Because it was a Monday, the rice served with the chicken was free :)

While we were eating, I noticed a red-orange glow in the lower part of the sky.  I was a bit alarmed because it was certainly unusual.  It was just a red glow, kind of like a fire was raging somewhere across the lake.  I tried taking pictures but the image wasn't registering on the phone.  After a while, we were all surprised to see that it was the moon rising.  It started out red-range and then yellow and then a bright white as it ascended the night sky.  It was amazing!

Once done with dinner, we came back to our home for the next couple of days and passed thru the Clubhouse on the way to Tower 1.  It was quite nice to look at :)

The next day, we went to the Payment Center at Tower 5 to pay our fees to access the facilities at the Clubhouse.  It was P150/head for swimming.  After, we headed to the swimming pool! :)  We just presented our receipt at the Concierge of the Clubhouse.  With that, we could access the swimming pool for the whole day.  Basketball and Tennis courts have different fees though.  I think they are charged per hour.

Lounge Area at The Clubhouse

It was a Tuesday so the pool wasn't crowded.  There were actually three pools, one was closed for maintenance.  The indoor pool was also closed for maintenance.  There were lounge chairs near the pool where we left our belongings.

We left to have lunch and we came back with Patrick who was finished with his work and had time to relax with us :)

We reserved the billiard table earlier but there's no charge.  In the game room, there were dart boards, a ping pong table and this foosball game :)

Dana had always wanted to try her hand at billiards so with this trip, she got her chance and she couldn't get enough it :)  We ended up playing for 3 consecutive hours.  Patrick and Dylan went to swim on their own haha

While Patrick and Dana were playing the first game, Dylan and I went outside and we found out that there was a shuttle to the Clubhouse from the other Towers.  That was convenient because it's a bit of a distance if you're coming from Tower 5.

This was the Female comfort room within the Clubhouse right near the Function Rooms.

On the way to the comfort rooms and the changing rooms near the swimming pools, you'll pass the indoor pool, which was closed at this time.

These were the separate comfort rooms and shower rooms for Females.

As the sun was setting, we were able to capture these incredible landscapes :)

After, we returned to the unit and changed for dinner and then headed to Bulalo Point Turo-Turo Grill.  It's about 30 minutes from Tower 1 of SMDC Wind Residences heading West along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway.  You'll pass Sky Ranch along the way :)

The bulalo was superb!  The soup was peppery.  The beef was so soft and plenty.  I wish there were more veggies though :)

We went home full of great food and we had a good sleep throughout the night.  The next day, we prepped for the photoshoot of the Ford Everest which Patrick was test driving for Carmudi.

The Clubhouse

We finished quite early and fortunate too because soon the fog came!

So, that was our Tagaytay trip in a nutshell :)  We enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to return :)  Thanks again Ford Philippines for the Ford Everest we used for our trip :)
