Gulu Gulu PH at Savemore Nagtahan, Manila

28 February 2019

As you may know, we are always in search of new restaurants that serve delicious food.  It's always an adventure to try new dishes and new locations together.

I learned that a new Takoyaki store, Gulu Gulu PH opened last February 25 at our local neighborhood supermarket, Savemore Nagtahan.  It was exciting because it was near and pretty accessible and also, we're fans of Takoyaki.

So here are some pictures of the place and what we ordered during our trip.

First, it's located inside the Savemore Supermarket building at the corner of R. Magsaysay Blvd in Sta. Mesa.  Their interiors are bright and pleasant and they even have comics that you can read while waiting for your order or as you're eating if you just want to hang around.

Since they're newly opened, there was quite a line of interested patrons :)

We ordered their original Milk Tea (PhP100) and Takoyaki with Pork Floss (PhP120).  I don't normally order milk tea but Dana was insistent so we tried it and it was GOOD! :)  It smells and tastes like Jasmine Tea which I like and it comes in a huge cup so I think it's value for your money.

The Takoyaki with Pork Floss came in such a  unique packaging and that was a pleasant surprise :)  There were 6 huge pieces per order but honestly, since it's so good, you can probably finish the whole order on your own.  It's really chunky and you can actually taste the tako (octopus) unlike with some other Takoyaki stalls that feel and taste kind of like just mashed up meat.

It's really very tasty that we ordered more of it a couple of days later :)  Also, check-out their chopsticks :)  They're cute :)
